The pain of a patient can be reduced with the help of OxyContin. It is a drug that is provided to the patients who are
suffering from huge pain. The drug is made up of Oxycodone which is HCL controlled-release. This means that the drug would slowly release Oxycodone into your body over a period of time. The patients are usually prescribed 2 times a day consumption of the medicine.
The function of the drug is by connecting the receptors of the brain known as opioid receptors. These receptors are in the brain and also in spinal cord. When the OxyContin starts to work it would not allow the brain messages of pain to be sent to the spinal cord or vice versa. The drug is designed to provide low level of release of Oxycodone because if all of Oxycodone is released together then there are chances of severe overdose and it might lead to adverse effects.
The patient who is prescribed this drug has very much chances of getting addicted to it. You should know that you are addicted to the drug before it is too late. You cannot allow it to increase and physical symptoms are nausea, cramping, anxiety, loss in appetite, depression, etc. So, the doctors have an alternative for this drug named as buprenorphine.
The doctors also prescribe certain exercises for the patients as sometime this is one of the best ways to cure your addiction. The outdoor sports are highly recommended as you would get the fresh air, have your mind diverted from depression or other thoughts of taking the drug again. Sports will make your body workout and this might help you to solve your problems more rapidly. Physical workout is a very good way to assist you to get rid of your addiction and this should be done in coordination with your physician.
“Sports will make your body workout well and you will have your problems solved quickly.”
Please consider editing this, for this statement is far from the truth. There’s no such thing as, “solved quickly,” when dealing with OXY Addiction.
@ Dr. Narco
