Today, Oxycontin addiction has become a threat to human society but people are still not aware of it. Oxycontin is a painkiller that can help to reduce joint pain, arthritis, muscular pain, cancer pain, shoulder pain, and many other type of problem. It also reduces the anxiety and stress level. That is why people start taking the medicine initially. But when they get trapped in it they fail to find any path outwards.

One cannot buy these pain killers without a doctor’s prescription but still these medicines are available in the market and people are using it randomly. When you start taking these drugs you will feel restless and nauseous. Gradually different types of side effects start growing. The main drawback of these types of addiction is the mental and physical dependence on these drugs. Once someone starts taking these drugs regularly it becomes hard for them to resist themselves from taking it the next time. First they start taking it but later the addiction takes over.

For the parents it becomes really tough to control their drug addicted children. Most of the times they even fail to understand the problem. They see their children over sleeping or getting irritated every now and then. But they have no idea about what has happened and how to treat that. The children usually become secretive and do not want to share anything with others. They feel that others will stop their habits. The addiction traps them badly. But as parents you need to provide the support to help your child come out of the addiction.
